Theo, an outgoing brown-and-white tiger, was three when he tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). He was able to find shelter, first at Purrfect Pals in Arlington, WA, then at FIV Land, a place specifically for FIV cats.
But the rescue volunteers wanted to find Theo and his mates furever homes, where they could be with loving families rather than stuck at a shelter the rest of their lives.

While at the shelter, Theo bonded with a gray tiger named Champ. Champ had arrived in May 2017, injured, but became friendly with Theo after he recovered.

Theo followed Champ everywhere.

Theo was extremely friendly with all visitors. This resulted in his being adopted by a woman named Kristy for her daughter in February 2018. Soon after he came home and settled in, Kristy noticed that Theo was following her daughter everywhere. Kristy quickly realized that Theo was behaving the same way with the little girl as he had with Champ. He missed his shelter buddy.

So, Kristy went back and adopted Champ, as well. Now, they are inseparable friends once more, but this time together in their furever home. Kristy says that her daughter has been begging for a cat for months and is now extra attentive with cleaning the litter box.

The shelter volunteers were thrilled. FIV cats can be hard to adopt. Now, not only had one found his furever home, but so had his buddy. It was the best case scenario all the way round.
