Sora is a beautiful, black-and-white, long-haired cat from Japan. One day in May 2017, when he was three, his pet parents brought him a new brother and sister - two curious kittens, orange-and-white Canele and gray-and-white Amelie. They were just two months old. Like Sora, they had been rescued from a shelter.
Introducing new cats to a household is always a bit risky. Some cats quite like going solo and can be territorial. Some older cats find younger, more energetic kittens intimidating. It can lead to fights.

But Sora responded quite differently. Though wary at first, he soon took his two new little siblings under his paw. He groomed them, carried them around like a mama kitten, cuddled them, played with them, and showed them the ropes on how to behave. He taught them very important survival skills like drinking properly from a water bowl.

Other skills, like chasing their own tails and pouncing on Papa, they appear to have learned on their own.

Amelie and Canele became equally attached to Sora. They followed him everywhere and imitated him as they grew into young cats.

Since then, all three have become popular on social media. They have their own Instagram account, where they pose frequently for seriously cute photos. They celebrate the holidays in different costumes.

And they even may be found sleeping stretched out next to children's books. These three are as inseparable as the Three Musketeers.
