Jessica Aliff loves cats and Pug dogs. She already had three of each kind when she saw an ad on Craigslist for a blind senior pug with diabetes.
Jessica was no stranger to either senior dogs or dogs with special needs. Two of the Pugs she already had mobility issues. One, Poncho, was half-blind and 17 years old, the other one, Nikki, 13. Nikki was the first Pug she adopted, in 2012. She was going through a low period in her life and credits Nikki for helping to pull her out of it. She then got involved with a Pug rescue and fostered several dogs.

Jessica didn't want to get another dog, especially one who was diabetic, but she worried that Cinderella might end up a bait dog. As Jessica knew from her rescue experiences, this can happen to pups who are given away online. So, she contacted Cinderella's owners and took her in.

She quickly got the hang of Cinderella's diabetes treatment routine, but unfortunately, the condition of the Pug's eyes soon grew worse. Due to increasing ocular pressure, she would need to have them removed.

Since the operation, Cinderella is now much happier and loves her furry companions. In addition to Jessica's other three dogs and three cats, these include Jessica's boyfriend's three Pugs.

Cinderella now has her own Facebook page: Cinderella the Blind Pug.
