While IKEA has long been a favorite source for everything you need for your home (and then some), the Swedish furniture giant has launched a new product line that allows your pet to live the same lifestyle that you do, with decor that can match and enhance what you already have in your house.
On their website, IKEA states that the new pet products are "Created by pet loving designers with support from trained veterinarians, the range covers all the bases of our shared life with pets indoors and out, so you and your pet can enjoy your home together."

Many pet owners are thrilled that IKEA has designed furniture specifically for pets. The iconic company has created the appropriately named Lurvig pet line ("Lurvig" is Swedish for "hairy") to give pets some posh places to rest and play.

Lurvig offers everything from the best in minimalist pet beds to food and water bowls, collars, leashes, and yes, even doggy waste bags and containers.

Not to worry as your furniture has been kept in mind, too. IKEA's Lurvig products offer furniture covers and plenty of scratching posts to keep your cats busy and away from your couches and love seats.

According to My Modern Met, in keeping both the spirit of the IKEA brand and pets' needs in mind, the Lurvig collection "looks perfectly natural next to its human-focused items. LURVIG, however, has an animal-friendly twist; IKEA worked with veterinarians to ensure that their products meet the needs of the animals they are intended for."

"Cats, for instance, love small places to curl up in, and there are several 'caves' for them that are tucked among practical side tables. Dogs are the opposite. They prefer open beds and cushions, which is another part in the LURVIG line," says My Modern Met.

The IKEA pet furniture collection is now featured at select locations across the United States, Canada, Japan, and France.

The Lurvig line will be available in all of its stores by March 2018.
