Hurricane Harvey devastated many people and left many pets abandoned and/or without homes. Austin Pets Alive! is helping these animals find their way to safety. They've already come to the rescue of 2,000 animals impacted by the hurricane.
According to their Facebook Page, Austin Pets Alive! (APA!) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping to Keep Austin No Kill. Since 2008, they have saved nearly 50,000 dogs and cats from being killed at Central Texas shelters.
There are many ways to help with the mission to save animals put at risk by Hurricane Harvey and beyond.
1. Donate: APA! will use all financial donations to ensure that they can purchase supplies as needed.
2. Foster: Short-term and medical fosters ensure that animal victims of Hurricane Harvey have homes over the course of the next few weeks.
3. Volunteer: If you are in the Austin area, lend a hand.
